Saturday Scramble visits Salt Lake City

Saturday April 24, 2010 between 1900Z-0200Z
the Saturday Scramble arrives into the Salt Lake City UT (KSLC) area.

A location not visited that frequently by the scramble however was home to the Winter Olympics in 2002. Flights are on lite side into and out of SLC; US Airways routes are only from the PHX hub; United has flights out of ORD, DEN and SFO; and Continental flying out of Houston only.

Charter Flights Still Available

I thought I would take the time inform you there are still many charter flights avaialble at Virtual-USAairways airline forums http://z13.invisionfree.com/Virtual_USAairways/index.php?showforum=29, Charter Forum. Charter flights for those who like to fly long or short distances sin aircraft ranging from 737 up to A330 and 767. Some charter flights will only be flown once, others will be available for some time.

!!! BE VERY PATIENT AND EXPECT DELAYS AND QUITE POSSIBLY HOLDS EN-ROUTE AND AT ARRIVAL POINTS !!!! VATCAN, VATUSA and VATEUD are very excited to announce the details of our next Cross The Pond event. Saturday 24th October 2009 sees the return of our Eastbound leg, and we invite you to join us for this unforgettable experience made possible only twice a year. We are delighted to have Toronto Pearson (CYYZ), Boston Logan (KBOS), Chicago O’Hare (KORD) and Philadelphia International (KPHL) as our departure fields from North America this year, whilst Frankfurt (EDDF) and Munich (EDDM) will be our hosts on the other side. Departure are available from 1100z, running for four hours in order to be inclusive of as many time zones as possible. As always, high quality air traffic control will be provided for your departure, enroute segment, and of course the Oceanic crossing. A minimum of twelve highly skilled Oceanic controllers will be online throughout the event to deliver clearances and take position reports. After leaving Oceanic airspace, dozens of European enroute controllers will guide you towards your destinations where, finally, Frankfurt and Munich will be out in full force to welcome you home.

1. Director of Fleet Operations (DFO) - Currently Vacant

Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Responsible for locating, testing, and recommending for publishing the best possible free-ware aircraft,
panels and sound sets available in US Airways/America West Livery for FSX and FS 2004 – A
Century of Flight. This position will be responsible for maintaining the fleet of Virtual-USAairways with
the real world US Airways / America West fleet of aircraft only.
This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO).

2. Director of Airline Training (DFT) - Currently Vacant

Qualifications and Responsibilities: (Under Development)

General VA Qualification:

Meet the Requirements to be a pilot at Virtual-USAairways
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Be an active pilot and in good standing with the VA.
An active member in the Forums.
Present yourself in a professional manner whether on our Forums or if you fly online with Vatsim or WestCoastATC.
